Mentor

At the beginning of this century, the US Navy asked Aqualung to develop a modern double hose regulator for the training of the navy divers, something they can be train with before using a real rebreather.

Only a very small series a 125 Mentor have been made.

Most of the datation above is based on the adverts from the magazines l’Aventure Sous-Marine

In the number 19 of l’Aventure Sous-Marine (jan 1959), La Spirotechnique advertised that they have sold more than 100.000 Aqualung « Cousteau Gagnan ».

In the number 37 (mar 1962) more than 200.000 Aqualung «Cousteau Gagnan » have been sold.
