Gary L Harris (USA)

Gary L. Harris was a working commercial diver for a quarter of a century. He began his professional diving career as a young diver/tender in the Gulf of Mexico’s offshore oil-patch where he worked alongside some of the world’s pioneering oil-field divers.

He wrote quite a few books about the history of diving (see the “Related Books”). And as you can see he is also very skilled at designing helmets, considering that he does this only for fun and for his own use, it looks very professional.
